The Key Functions of the role are as follows:
- Provide planning and management of the overall HSE Management System Development activities;
- Develop and maintain HSE systems and processes by working in conjunction with HR and Operation Departments;
- Ensure compliance to Indonesian Laws with respect to people, health, safety and environment;
- Establish effective and measurable site objectives, targets and ensures that effective policies, procedures and work instructions are implemented.
- Ensure investigations are conducted effectively and that action plans completed, including monitoring return to work issues where relevant;
- Liaise with key client, government, provincial entities and bureaus in respect to HSE
- Ensure the HSE and Training requirements of the business are delivered, assessed, recorded and managed with the purpose of personal improvement of all employees;
- Identify and put in place processes to manage risk and hazards on site;
- Communicate with and supply HSE information as necessary;
- Assist sites to produce site specific HSE plans incorporating Maxidrill, Client and Indonesian rules and regulations;
- By working closely with operations team ensure that internal and external reporting is timely and effective and that adequate and accurate statistics are compiled on a site and zone basis;
- Assist sites to comply with company and other regulations by helping them produce required documentation such as Emergency Response Plans, Audit Reports, Project Risk Assessments, SWP’s, JSEA’s, checklists;
- Ensures there are safety messages in each Incident Action Plan and review the Incident Action Plan for safety implications
- Regularly review site action plans to ensure progress and assist and advise where possible.
- Attend as many rig moves as possible.
- Attend as many tool box meetings as possible ensure that they are conducted properly and recorded.
The successful applicant must have the following attributes, skills and experience:
- A suitable and applicable university degree in an HSE-associated field;
- Must have demonstrated experience in a similar sized and varied HSE role, preferably within a mining-related industry;
- Must have a good understanding of Indonesian HSE requirements for the mining and related industries
- Familiar with standard ISO 14001;2004, OHSAS 18001;2007
- Certified in AK3 Umum, TOT, POP, OHSAS 18001;2007, First aid, ToT and ISMKP ( Must )
- Must have a high standard of spoken and written English.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Must have a good understanding and attitude towards effective and practical safety and environmental practices that are primarily aimed at protecting our people and the environment
- Willing to be placed on site project with roster system
